Booths
The booths (normally about 3m wide by 2m deep) are envisaged as being promotional, so ideally the materials displayed should be good quality and attractively presented. In order to achieve this, a number of suggestions are made here to assist any SADC Member State which has not as yet produced a display for investment promotional purposes. The emphasis should be on: • investment incentives and conditions in the host country • investment opportunities in the tourism sector. The display should try and portray the best aspects of the investment potential of the country concerned. Main features and documents exhibited should include: • investment code or equivalent; • information on investment application procedures; • promotional brochures on business conditions; • information on existing – or planned – infrastructure (roads, ports, airports, railways, power lines, major industrial and urban centres, etc); • maps; • useful contacts: public services (national investment promotion agency) and intermediary organizations • national flag. Optional items could include: • other useful publications, either free of charge or for sale at nominal prices. • photographs or videos of tourism developments; • list of foreign hotel chains, tour operators etc operating in the country. It is essential that the booths be manned by qualified personnel
